The Ingrid Fedora

Since it's debut, The Ingrid has been a best seller and a most beloved Saucy Signature design. The very rare, original 1940's hat block which I use in the creation of this piece, was a truly serendipitous find at my local nostalgia shop in Kitsilano, Vancouver, where I was living at the time. 

The timeless and romantic silhouette of this percher style fedora evokes a certain allure and elegance of bygone times, and yet is still very wearable in a contemporary and relevant way.   

Pair your Ingrid with a wool blazer and cashmere scarf for a stroll to the cafe, or to top off a cocktail dress or smart skirt suit. Casual or fancy,  Ingrid has you covered.  I never travel back to the UK without my own - she is my constant companion! The shallow brim on the back means that I can comfortably wear her on the plane - very handy for the return journey, as my cabin luggage is allowance is usually maxed out with tea and scotch (the essentials, really) and I don't have space for a hat box.  

This is a percher style hat and suits head sizes 22" - 22.5" the best.

It can also work for a 21.5" head size - it will sit a bit lower on the head.  I can include some sizing foam, should you wish to snug the size up, just let me know at checkout!

The hat secures with an elastic that slides discreetly around your head, and underneath the back of your hair.
