'The Saucy Swirl' - it sounds more like a 50's dance move than one of my best-selling berets!
A newer addition to my Signature Saucy Collection, this unique and eye-catching confection has been traveling to clients all over the globe, since first introduced, deep in the throes of our third (and hopefully final) pandemic lockdown. I use a gorgeous, vintage hat block from La Forme of Paris, to make this percher style beret, which came to me from Canada's oldest, still working, millinery companies.
This is a more tricky hat to block properly, and each of my Swirl Berets is a true labour of love. I use a gorgeous, velour-finish fur felt, which is sustainably sourced and made in the Czech Republic, for a velvety, couture finish. Wear your Swirl beret as you would a regular tam-style beret with a casual denim jacket, or with a cocktail dress, to your next dinner party. The Swirl Beret is happy anywhere!
Size and Fit:
Diameter: Approx. 12"
This hat is a standard 22.5" headsize, but will also nicely fit 22" (just a bit lower on the head). I include an elastic on this beret, to help secure it, which you can easily remove it you find that you don't need it. If you are a 23", you'll probably want to keep it on there. The elastic slides underneath the back of your hair!
